Equipped with high-grade hardware, the Japanese-made Charvel "MJ" series is supported by reliable quality from all over the world. Born as a custom guitar made in the United States in the 1970s, "Charvel" became a popular guitar brand in the 1980s as a guitar symbolizing hard rock / heavy metal. In the 1980s, models made in Japan, as well as those made in the United States, were lined up, but due to the convenience of production bases in Japan, production was unfortunately discontinued in the 1990s. In recent years, there has been a growing demand for the revival of Japanese-made Charvel guitars, and it has finally been revived as the "MJ" series.
This "MJ So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR M" is a plateless 4-point bolt-on joint with a graphite-reinforced 1-piece maple neck on the alder body. The corners of the heel are smooth, and the backside of the body of the cutaway part on the 1st string side is boldly cut to enable smooth access to the high frets, and the maple fingerboard with the black dot position mark is used. You can't overlook the fact that it uses a compound radius that realizes stress-free playability in any position.
