The Manson MB-1 New Era represents the latest evolution of the brand’s instrument line, combining the value and accessibility of the M-series with the craftsmanship and innovation of Manson’s custom workshop in Ashburton. Built as a refined core version of the MB signature model, it features full in-house body machining, hand finishing, striking custom finishes, and Manson-designed electronics including proprietary pickups, all produced end-to-end by the expanded Manson team. Drawing on real-world touring experience with company co-owner Matthew Bellamy, the MB-1 NE introduces ergonomic and performance upgrades such as a sculpted recessed four-bolt neck joint for improved upper-fret access and reduced playing fatigue, alongside an enhanced Sustainiac system with OEM-style circuitry for improved stability and reduced cross-talk. It also incorporates a fully integrated Z-Vex internal Fuzz Factory with refined internal controls and a more secure mounting design developed in collaboration with Z-Vex Effects. Finished with premium specifications including Gotoh hardware, a rolled-edge figured neck with compound radius, a solid Obeche body, and a Manson hard case as standard, the MB-1 New Era delivers a professional-grade instrument built for modern performance, versatility, and reliability.
